I'm speechless over here. I have been babying my knees along for 15 years with injections, etc. and slowly watched my mobility ebb away. I'm 61 and my family is very active and athletic. I have NEVER had a physician or any other health care professional explain things this way. It has always been, "you'll be in such pain after a TLC that you want it to be a relief from the pain level you've already got. The technology changes so fast -- so wait, wait, wait!" With the advent of AI, I agree with the technology part, to be sure. At some point though, I see now that you do indeed cross over into a zone that becomes detrimental. The ways you find yourself lessening your pain is slowly giving up activity bit by bit to the point that you have to hang behind while everyone else is participating in life. I can't be with my grandson alone anymore because my unstable knees prevent me from picking him up. The most important point he makes in this video, though, is that if you start letting your leg muscles atrophy because you can't exercise your legs, then you are stuck with a very difficult recovery. I'm at 3.5 weeks post surgery and realizing that now. I'm about to to hunker down and watch all the videos on this channel. Thank you so much.

I’m in the same situation. I still work but at the moment I’m on short term disability. I was using a chiropractor and physical therapy. I since stopped the chiropractor as it wasn’t adding to or enhancing the recovery. It’s a slow process and I am going through the roller coaster, as well. The therapists are very young and tend to be aggressive with the exercises, which in turn makes me regress in my treatment. I had to cancel several treatments because I needed my back to recover. I visited my physician and he put me on an aggressive tapered prednisone treatment. It helped tremendously to reduce the inflammation and pain. Now I can continue my exercises to strengthen my back and core muscles. Hopefully I get to point that I don’t require an MRI or pain management injections. As for the therapists, I continue to work with them, however, I let them know that I do certain exercises as tolerated. I’m not 22 anymore.

I had BPPV, for about 20 years then it went away; a history of migraine for 9 years which also went away... and 6 decades of classic vestibular migraine symptoms only recently diagnosed as vestibular migraine (in 2022) but I meet the criteria for not only VM, but Meniere's as well as MdDS. I have multiple classic symptoms but the worst are the tinnitus which is a head roar, not high pitched ringing (I do have that in my right ear, but the head roar which is dx a tinnitus isn't in either ear...it's in my head), the sensation of the floor vibrating, and balance issues...the tinnitus, vibrations and balance issues are miserable much of the time. Meds worked for awhile, then they stopped working. It'd help to know if I have all 3, 2 or 1 and if only 1, which one.

I have supra and infra spinatus tendonosis, I accepted the shot and was able to sleep without pain "most of the night" not all of the night... Why do you say stay away from the injection? does it cause cancer or something? I hate letting anyone inject anything into me, but with the pain at night, im like GIVE IT TO ME.... anyways, I dont know how I got this condition, was doing side posture adjusting and felt a little pain, nothing significant, then weeks later ROM is reduced and any kind of fast movements with my right arm would cause a sharp pain (like I hit my finger with a hamer, but the pain was in my shoulder) where i had to run around holding my shoulder, where my body locked my arm against my body, cursing and yelling for 5-10 min then the pain would go away.... had to figure out how to not use my right arm for anything, 1 arm driving, cant pull the covers at night with my right, cant sleep on right side, cant shower with both arms, go to the bathroom with my left and so on... was difficult to try to rehab this....

What kind of injections are you referring to? ESI's or PRP? Have bursitis in hip and swelling in L5. PT has helped. Had achy sore pain in groin, down front and back of leg, hip and back and butt. Few months ago, every step hurt but PT helped. Pain going down leg premuch controlled but pain still in groin, hip back and butt. Continuing with PT to manage it and hope don't need injections. Thought it was sciatica but PT had me do couple stretches and she said I would've jump off table if sciatica which I didn't. She's thinking it's muscle pain, i.e. tightness versus nerve pain.

My eyes always move horizontally to the left. If I lay with my right ear down, the vertigo is more intense but my eyes move horizontally to the left. Once I lay with my left ear down, my eyes still twitch to the left but the vertigo is not as intense. Slightly confused here. I believe my left ear is the affected ear.

Is it possible to have only horizontal canal bppv? I have been suffering for going on 6 months now. I've had 5 episodes of vertigo, 4 episodes within a couple months, and another this morning, all presenting with horizontal nystagmus that comes on when turning to my side in bed. Supine and dix-halpike tests always show horizontal nystagmus on the rights side. The strange thing is, I have alot of neck issues that started at the same time. Pain and pressure that started in the right occipital area, and now have pain, stiffness; burning and itching sensations in my neck, and numbness focussed around my right ear into my right occipital, head and down my neck. I'm at a loss and have been to multiple ER's throughout the state of Michigan, and even made a trip to Mayo clinic in Minnesota a couple weeks ago to rile out Neurological possibilities. Any help or info you could give would be greatly appreciated, as I'm reaching the end of my rope.

Was doing great, but 4 days post surgery tripped 4 days on my walker and strained/tore MCL. Knee and entire leg swelled 6 centimeters and extensive bruising resulted. Now in brace for 2 weeks to be worn whenever I am out of bed. Balancing PT without hurting that part of my knee an obstacle. I am 13 days out from surgery now. It is resolving, but all this has has prevented me from consistent attempts at bending. So wish I would have seen this before hand and done a lot more research. Thanks for video. Thank you for the video. PLEASE HELP ME! I've been dealing with sciatic pain for over four years now. It started basically around the time of the pandemic. Because I couldn't get proper treatment at the time, it kind of stayed with me and got worse. Now the recovery is very slow. I've tried everything except injection and surgery. The doctors say that it's a very mild case of disc slippage on my L5 and L4, and there is no way they're going to do surgery on me. I've tried acupuncture, physical therapy, medications, chiropractic lots of other things for YEARS, and everything works except only temporarily. The best thing that has worked for me has been progressive exercises. But the problem is the recovery phase is very slow. For example, I've been doing them non-stop for the past six months, and while I have seen improvements, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have these limitations for at least another six months or so. Limitations such as not being able to sit pain-free and not being able to sit for more than, let's say, 20 minutes at all. If I sit longer, then I'm gonna have to pay for it, and this is affecting my relationship. At this point I don't remember how being normal feels like any more. when the doctors see my MRI they treat me as if I'm normal and nothing is wrong with me and they don't take me seriously. one of the most even put me on antidepressant drugs saying that it might be mental but that didn't help either. Do you think if I take an injection now it would help?
